Industry recognition for Proximus Global’s SIM for Things with an award win from one of IoT’s leading awards programmes.
BRUSSELS – 22 October 2026 – Proximus Global, the digital communications group that brings together BICS, Telesign and Route Mobile, has won the ‘Research & Development or New Launch’ category at the IoT Global Awards 2026 for its SIM for Things ‘Secure Sovereign’ eSIM.
BICS’ sovereign & resilient eSIM for critical IoT addresses growing security and continuity demands from regulations such as NIS2. It is part of BICS’ SIM for Things, which pairs an eSIM built on the latest GSMA standards with TrustPath, BICS’ secure routing service. Running on BICS’ SCION infrastructure, TrustPath sends data along a verified, protected path all the way from the device to the enterprise’s own systems. If a network fails, the eSIM automatically switches to a fallback profile, while geo-fenced routing keeps sensitive data out of untrusted jurisdictions. Together, these capabilities deliver secure, sovereign and always-on connectivity for critical applications spanning defense, emergency services, energy and mobile banking.
Commenting on the award, Jaymy Teh, CPO Connect, Proximus Global, said: “We’re proud to win the IoT Global Award for Research & Development or New Launch. This recognition reflects the growing importance of sovereignty in IoT connectivity and our commitment to giving enterprises control over how and where their devices connect, without giving up global reach.”
Organized by WeKnow Media, the IoT Global Awards recognize excellence in IoT innovation across product, service and business categories. Winners are selected by an independent panel of industry analysts, standards specialists and IoT trade press.
